Nice Board All Around ...... I'd watched and waited for this ironing board to be available on Amazon w/Prime. Finally, there it was & it arrived in just two days. (FYI, PRIME is a great program if you shop Amazon a lot!)
I looked hard for a well priced, 'multi-function', wide ironing station since I've 100s of linens to press. I chose this particular board based on the features described (18" wide, tri-leg, adjustable height, retractable board for sleeves, etc.) to INCLUDE its cover.
Luckily my board arrived without damage however I agree with other reviewers regarding packaging ~ it is not sufficient, it does not provide adequate protection during shipping at all.
As to the ironing station itself, its ok - it works and has some extras ... for about 1/3 the price of a comparable board from Reliable for example.
Here's the 'BUT' - the cover, its garbage, its equivilent to using a plain sheet!! As a temporary fix I stretched my regular cover over the board and put the... Read more

The ironing board that makes ironing easy, October 25, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Polder 49-Inch Tri-Leg Ironing Station, Green (Misc.) It took over a week to receive this product. Once it arrived I took it out of the box and found that the rubber holster which holds the iron when in storage was broken. I could not fix it and I don't store my iron in it when I hang up the board so I just ignored this problem. Also the pad had some damage where the box had been banged up during transit. Luckily on the advice of another reviewer I had purchased a better pad/cover. The one that comes with this board was really thin. After putting on the new heavy duty pad I decided to try out the board and I fell in love with it. It can be raised up much higher than any board I have ever owned before. Also the ironing surface is extra large so I don't have to reposition clothes as much. It is a pretty heavy duty board and a little bit more trouble to fold up and down than my other board. It is also about twice as heavy as my older standard board & somewhat longer to accomodate the iron rest. I have only used the sleeve arm once,... Read more

I rarely write reviews, but felt compelled on this item. The product itself seems excellent- I know, who gets excited about an ironing board, but this one clearly makes the job more enjoyable. My only complaint- and a caveat for anyone considering ordering was the packaging. For what this item cost, it should have been shipped with better protection for the legs. Mine arrived with the cross leg bases both bent where the item had been shoved somewhere it shouldn't have been. Don't know whether to blame amazon or the shipper, but clearly it should have arrived in the proper condition. Its too big of a headache to try to return an item like this, so I will be making due, but feel that some renumeration for a damaged item is appropriate.
