Great product requiring subtle tweaks, September 7, 2009 By This review is from: Kalorik STP-23783 1350-Watt 34-inch Digital Fabric Steam Press (Kitchen) 3.5 stars is closer to what I'm thinking. First, let me say that I've saved quite a bit of time using this steam press over a traditional iron. I like the product and would likely buy another if it broke. That being said, there are some criticisms...
First, half-star loss due to the minuscule amount of water it takes. In two uses, I've abandoned the "Max" line and filled the little sucker with as much as it can hold. What really stinks is the useless compartment to hold the power cord could easily have been used for water had the designers wanted. Instead, the unit comes with the cord shoved in this hole underneath the press. Once you take the cord out, it's pretty much out until you move to another house. All that space could have been used for holding water. It's difficult to explain - buy it and you'll see what I mean.

Leaves wrinkles, September 27, 2009 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Kalorik STP-23783 1350-Watt 34-inch Digital Fabric Steam Press (Kitchen) The steam press leaves wrinkle marks all over every garmet applied. Maybe this is the nature of all presses like this. No insrtuctions enclosed. I am applying everything right and have tried various temperatures, but I have to iron the garmet with a flat iron after I use it in the steam press. The supplier says it cannot be returned for a full refund if opened. I was really looking forward to cutting time on ironing, but all I did was throw away over $300. My spouse won't use it either. It is essentially a useless product in my home taking up space. I agree as to the stand - it comes up only to your waist and you have to bend over constantly to put your garmet in the press without burning your hands by accidentally touching the press. What a big dissapointment.

A REAL TIME SAVER!, April 28, 2009 This review is from: Kalorik STP-23783 1350-Watt 34-inch Digital Fabric Steam Press (Kitchen) Have been using my new press for a little over a month now. It is a high quality item the best I could find for home use, it has a lot features, you need to make sure you read everything in order to learn how to use it properly but easy to read instructions... All and all it is a great time saver it has cut my ironing time in half if not more. This press works very well so far, it has met my expectations and is a true time saver. I also bought the stand for this press which works great with it. Highly recommend it if you need to save time and money as it would pay for itself, I no longer need to send everything to the cleaners!! Definite buy.
